The In Between Part 2 (Sunday Sermon Notes)
Believe what God tells you about people.
He obediently follows God's command to visit the blinded Saul.
Despite of his fear, Ananias lays hands on Saul, restoring his sight and calling him his brother.
This encounter led to Saul’s baptism, infilling of the Holy Spirit, and eventual transformation into the Apostle Paul.
God will stop you in between one set of instructions and give you instructions to move a different way but send you to the same place.
God’s vision is BIGGER than you!! You are NOT the main character!! God gives provision to the visions He gives you.
Saul was a blind man with a vision to see. He could not see it but he was obedient anyway.
Sometimes your sight is infected, but it should never hinder your insight.
Nugget #4 Your sight should never hinder your insight. You may not see it, but your insight is not based on my sight. Insight means the ability to understand situations in a very clear way. The ability to discern deeply and acutely. Simply put: We may not be able to see it with our eyes but because our insight is grounded in our faith, we should know that everything is going to be alright because we know God’s promises. ??
Our insight must be in alignment . You cannot walk by faith if you want to see everything.
Message: PRIDE WILL LEAVE YOU BLIND.
Question: What are you doing while you are waiting in the I between.
Saul was fasting and praying while he was in his in between. Don’t waste the in between while waiting on God.
Psalm 27:13 (ESV)
“I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!”
I will see the goodness of the Lord!! Choose to see the goodness of the Lord.
You may not be in an ideal situation, but you serve an ideal God. Sometimes waiting may seem like warfare BUT choose to wait on GOD!
Worship while you wait!!????????
Wait means to BIND! Don’t sit idol.
Question: What are you attached to while you are waiting. What are you binding yourself to in your in between?
Nugget #5 Worship must be my attachment. While you are waiting you must be attached to worship. Saul attached himself to praying, fasting while he was blind and waiting. Saul binded himself to worship!
Your posture while you are waiting should be the same as when you get what you waited for.
Question: Is your posture aligned?
Put me in position n to receive what you want me to have Lord while I wait on You.
Question: Is your in between trash?
God is not ignoring you….He’s conforming you. A delay is not denial.
The more God prunes us the more He can use us!! God is just trying to develop us.
Thank God for not giving you something you were not ready for. We can prepare what we are waiting for. Saul was attached to worship. He was preparing for what the Lord was going to do to/with him.
God does things exceedingly and abundantly for us so why do some lack when they have a God that owns everything?? Read Ephesians 3:20.
“Self-awareness is a critical part of spiritual growth.” -Apostle Gibson
Word: If we ignore flaws, God will always use someone to make you aware of it. Don’t miss the mark by judging the messenger.
Jesus could have instantly healed Saul, but He chose not to at that time. He used Ananias to help Saul.
Listen: GOD doesn’t care about your comfort He cares about His Kingdom!
Don’t miss your blessing listening to what others tell you about other people. Acts 9:15 (CSB) READ it!!
Pressure reveals people!! It shows you where you are. It shows if you are obedient or disobedient.
Just because we are faithful to church doesn’t mean we are faithful to God.
Reputation may be public BUT your calling is prophetic.
God used a killer, and He uses whomever He chooses to use. We all are EX something. Ex. Ex convict, Ex liar, Ex fornicator etc.
Your obedience or disobedience may influence someone else’s life. Your life will help someone or hurt someone else’s life (walk).
God made Ananias Saul’s accountability partner.
The lack of accountability is running wild in these church streets.
God called you huh? Why aren’t you serving???
Saul was gifted but someone still had to hold him accountable.
You have to hug people not like Judas but like Jesus.
There are some assignments that are only for you to do!
While waiting on Ananias Saul learned disciplined, and how to worship. He was in Judas house on Straight Street. He put Saul on immediate street while waiting.
Straight Street means immediately. Straight street was not to punish Saul but was to develop him.
In your in between God is waiting on you and working for you!
Note: When you are waiting on GOD, you are really waiting with GOD!!
Newsflash: if we do not have the same vision, then DI-vision will come. God is NOT the author of confusion.
READ 1 Corinthians 14:33
For a genuinely rewarding friendship/relationship, pursue one that’s filled with the Holy Spirit.
Every birthing has a waiting room.
Just because you go through stuff doesn’t mean your miracle is on the other side. Jesus suffered and we will too. The blessing of it all is that you are going throughhhhhh! With God in it you will always come out on the winning side.
What’s your posture while you are waiting in the in between ??
I want to leave you with this statement…Who you link up with determines your destiny.
