Forgive and Forge
Forgiving and Forging Forward
Kingdom Men of Chosen | Man Cave Recap
Last night’s Man Cave at The Chosen Church was nothing short of transformational.
Our Transformation Table centered on the powerful topic of Forgiving and Forging Forward, inspired by Ephesians 4:31-32. What unfolded was more than a discussion…it was a release.
We were reminded that forgiveness is not optional for the believer…it’s essential!
When we choose not to forgive and instead harbor bitterness, we unknowingly set into motion a chain reaction in our lives. A chain that impacts our obedience, tests our faith, and distorts our decision-making. What feels justified in the moment can quietly become a barrier to everything God is trying to do in and through us.
Forgiveness Is More Than a Moment, It’s a Release
Elder Dangerfield brought a powerful teaching that shifted perspective. He broke down the Greek word for forgiveness, aphiēmi…and challenged us to go deeper. Forgiveness is not just the act of saying “I forgive you.”
It means:
• To go
• To release
• To send away
It is the intentional act of canceling a debt…choosing not to hold someone hostage for what they’ve done. That hit different…because real forgiveness isn’t surface-level…it’s spiritual surgery.
From Real Life to Real Freedom
What made the night even more impactful was the transparency in the room. Men stood up and shared real stories. Real pain. Real struggles.
They testified how unforgiveness had impacted their lives….how it showed up in their relationships, their mindset, and even their ability to move forward.
But even more powerful was this:
It wasn’t until they truly forgave that they were able to truly move forward.
Forgiveness wasn’t just a concept…it became a key.
You Can’t Forge Forward While Holding On
One thing became clear:
You cannot step into what God has next while still holding on to what hurt you. Forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened was right. It means you’re choosing freedom over bondage.
Liberty Was in the Room
There’s no other way to say it…something broke in the room last night
Chains fell...Weights lifted...Hearts shifted…
…and I can promise you this:
Not one man that was present left the same way he came.
As Kingdom Men, we don’t just talk about growth…we live it!!
So the challenge is simple, but not easy:
What do you need to release so you can truly move forward?
Because forgiveness isn’t just about them…It’s about your freedom…
